+About

The Rhino is located in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood, one of the most diverse and vibrant areas of the city.

Beer is a distinctive feature of the Rhino. We strive to be Toronto’s premier destination for the finest craft beers, providing exceptional products offerings that are professionally dispensed and served. We currently offer 24 draughts, cask ale, and more than 300 bottles from around the globe.

Although we feature some of the world’s finest beers, for over 20 years our focus has predominantly been Ontario craft beer.

We applaud Ontario craft brewers for creating their drinkable passion. Our draft selection changes frequently, capturing the exciting diversity of new product offerings, limited releases and experimental brews. We salute the early risk takers in the Ontario craft beer industry. Early crusaders like Upper Canada, Connor’s, Kawartha Lakes, and Creemore who dauntingly converted one beer drinker at a time.

The Rhino is a dedicated supporter of amateur brewing, frequently hosting events for the Canadian Amateur Craft Brewers Association (CABA).

We’ve held many tutored tastings and beer related events. One of our most memorable beer dinners was hosted by Garrett Oliver, head brewer of Brooklyn Brewery.

For the first time this year, we held highly successful summer and winter beer festivals, which we intend to make annual traditions.

Our commitment to the Parkdale community spans more than 20 years. The Rhino was the first business in the area to undertake a major commercial renovation at a time when the neighbourhood was struggling with drugs and prostitution. People outside the neighborhood didn’t understand our commitment. But we persevered because we knew that Parkdale was a special place. And through a dedicated community effort, things began to change. Everyday we strive to make a valuable and enduring contribution, regularly supporting local groups, charities, and the arts.

We honoured to have been chosen as Toronto’s favourite Bar and Grill by the readers of Eye Weekly magazine. We’re also regularly featured as one of Toronto’s top beer destinations.

We will be updating our website about our recent environmental sustainability initiatives.
